• El Malecón: Mazatlán’s boardwalk, known as El Malecón, sits at a total length of about 13 miles, making it the longest boardwalk in the West and the second-longest in the world. During the five days leading up to Ash Wednesday, this promenade is home to the famous Carnaval de Mazatlán, the third-largest carnival in the world. Enjoy year-round street performances by local artists and restaurants with some traditional Mazatleco flair.  

• La Aventura: For those seeking adventure, Mazatlán has activities to satisfy thrill-seekers of all ages. Huana Coa Canopy Adventure Park, just a few miles outside of the city, is home to 12 ziplines that adventurers. Thrill-seekers can expect to also enjoy a new zipline that will have panoramic views of the city, set to open to the public in 2025.  

• La Playa: One of Mazatlán’s most prominent attractions is its long, golden beach that stretches along the coastline. Activities include surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, and, of course, horseback riding. Embrace your inner Old Spice montage, and gallop along the picturesque Stone Island Beach 

• Los Museos: Nature lovers can El Gran Acuario de Mazatlán, the largest aquarium in Mexico and the most important in Latin America featuring sea lion demonstrations to interacting with penguins. For a more cultural experience, Observatorio 1873 is a re-adapted former military outpost where visitors can enjoy panoramic views, from ground level to the summit via an open funicular elevator. Only one of 46 in the world, you can learn about Mazatlán’s history as you take in your surroundings.
