Holland America Donates To Alaska Geographic
Holland America Line will donate proceeds from its “On Deck for a Cause” event to Alaska Geographic, a nonprofit organization that supports Alaska’s parks, forests, refuges, and conservation lands. The event will be held aboard ships in the region from May through September 2023.
Holland America Line is organizing a fundraising walk called “On Deck for a Cause: Alaska’s Parks” on all Alaska cruises from May to September 2023. The walk is a non-competitive 5k and participants will receive an On Deck for a Cause T-shirt, wristband and enjoy a reception following the walk. Funds raised will go to support education, science, and research in Alaska’s parks.
The walk is a great way to support a good cause and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Alaska. Holland America Line is a great cruise line that offers a variety of Alaska cruises, so be sure to check them out if you are interested in taking a cruise to Alaska.
Nearly half a million participants have joined in more than 8,400 walks aboard Holland America Line cruises since the inception of the “On Deck” program in 2006. Currently, On Deck for a Cause benefits the global humanitarian aid organization Direct Relief and has raised more than $550,000 for Ukrainian aid over the past 14 months. The remaining five ships in the Holland America Line fleet will continue to raise funds for Direct Relief with On Deck for a Cause.
