Viking Cruises Exploring More: Video Website Supports Clear Brand Message

Karine Hagen is your host on the new Viking Cruises Exploring More website.   Featuring a wide selection of  award-winning Viking short films Hagen shares some of her favorite insights into world cultures. Every single one of them qualifies to be featured in our BEST VIDEO effort to scour the internet for additional sources of cruise inspiration.

Hagen spends much of her life traveling the world, developing new itineraries and experiences for Viking River Cruises and Viking Ocean Cruises as well.  A big part of what drives that effort is an unwavering desire to gain insights into local lives and working worlds.  These are some of the core elements that Viking Travelers enjoy most along with privileged access to places few have the opportunity to visit.

A native of Norway, Karine has lived in the UK, US, Russia and Asia, and speaks seven languages. She is a great believer in the power of travel to change the world.

The new standalone Viking Exploring More website gathers a number of video also available on the Viking Cruises website and adds new selections as well interesting features not found elsewhere.  One of our favorite sections includes a part of the world many cruise travelers have never been to before: Asia.  Video selections, like the real time Viking experience, cover both that part of the world in a global way then get specific to topics of high interest (Pandas), culinary interests (Karine Cooks Noodles) and engaging activities with video that runs the range of interest from visiting a school in China, learning Calligraphy, making Chinese Tea and more.

Highlighting the focus of what Viking does and how they do it in a consistent manner, a video all about Chinese Porcelain was of particular interest to us.  Not long ago on a Viking River Cruise in Europe, the day’s included tour stopped by the Meisen Porcelain Factory where we bought some lovely dishes to bring home.  We use those from time to time and that always brings back great memories of our trip on Germany’s Elegant Elbe.  Take a look at this BEST VIDEO selection and look for more of these from Viking to be featured in this space going forward.  It’s one more reason to like the clear brand message we get from Viking on each and every sailing.
