A Westminster Tea Party: Cunard Style
Cunard’s first time sponsorship of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City looked to be a perfect match. After all, Cunard allows furry friends along for the ride aboard newly remastered Queen Mary 2, also connected to New York. On transatlantic sailings, Cunard passengers enjoy a variety of onboard events including afternoon tea, an experience shared as a Westminster Tea Party at this year’s show.
One of the top three conformation shows, along with AKC/Eukanuba National Championship and the National Dog Show, Westminster will see 3,000 dogs from around the world. Interestingly, Cunard sails around the world and allows dogs. How convenient. It’s another unique Cunard detail, highlighting the line’s long history of sailing pets as well as aligning with other names synonymous with quality.
At the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show’s Meet the Breeds day, Cunard’s four-legged guests stopped by to experience the luxurious life onboard Cunard’s flagship, Queen Mary 2, the only passenger liner to carry pets across the Atlantic.
