When Royal Caribbean International‘s Quantum of the Seas debuts, cruise travelers will have a wide variety of cabins from which to choose.  Still, we know that on most cruise ships, standard accommodations all share similar elements.  A standard inside stateroom has a bathroom, storage, sitting area, desk. etc.  Moving up in cabin category might get a better location on the ship, but basically the same layout on that inside stateroom.  Basically?  How about exactly the same, as we see in this new Royal Caribbean video, detailing the assembly line procedure used to produce staterooms for new Quantum of the Seas.

Seen here, we go behind the scenes at Meyer Werft’s cabin factory where Quantum of the Seas staterooms are constructed using a production line. From carpeting to art on the wall, this manufacturing process ensures the highest quality standards throughout.  

Some interesting numbers about Quantum of the Seas, that will feature over 2,000 of Royal Caribbean’s largest and most advanced staterooms ever include:

• 375 Virtual Balcony staterooms – interior staterooms offering expansive real-time views of the ocean and exciting destinations through virtual balconies.
• Up to 16 Family-Connected staterooms – perfect for multi-generational families or groups of friends, these staterooms provide separate bedrooms and bathrooms for all.
• 12 new Studio staterooms with balconies and 16 Studio Interior staterooms, both for single travelers

Quantum Class ships span 18 decks, encompass 167,800 gross registered tons, carry 4,180 guests at double occupancy and feature 2,090 staterooms.   Quantum of the Seas will spend its inaugural 2014-2015 season sailing from Cape Liberty in Bayonne, New Jersey, United States, before repositioning to China in May 2015.
