Carnival Announces New Ship Officers
Carnival Cruise Line has announced the senior officers who will be leading its newest ship, Carnival Jubilee. Captain Andrea Catalani, Chief Engineer Vittorino Perasole, and Hotel Director Pierre Camilleri will be responsible for the ship’s operations and ensuring guests have a great experience.
Captain Catalani has nearly 24 years of experience with Carnival and has worked on 18 ships, including Carnival Sunshine, Carnival Liberty, Carnival Horizon, Mardi ,Gras and Carnival Celebration. He is originally from Corinaldo, Italy.
Chief Engineer Perasole has worked with Carnival for over 20 years and has held several leadership positions, including chief engineer on Carnival Dream, Carnival Pride, Carnival Radiance, Carnival Breeze and Carnival Celebration. He is originally from Torre del Greco, Italy.
Hotel Director Camilleri has been with Carnival for 19 years and has served as hotel director on several ships, including Carnival Breeze, Carnival Vista, Carnival Horizon, Mardi Gras and Carnival Celebration. He is originally from Malta.
Carnival Jubilee is the third ship in the fleet to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), a cleaner-burning fuel. The ship will also feature two new zones, Currents, and The Shores, as well as other popular features like BOLT: Ultimate Sea Coaster and a transformational three-deck atrium.
Carnival Jubilee is scheduled to debut in December 2023 and will homeport in Galveston, Texas.
