Carnival Cruise Line unveiled the key players behind its newest ship, Carnival Firenze, which is set to debut in April. This second vessel is designed with “Carnival Fun Italian Style,” blending Italian themes with the cruise line’s signature entertainment.

Experienced Team at the Helm:

• Captain Crescenzo Palomba: An Italian with 25 years of Carnival experience, he’s captained 20 ships, including the recently launched Carnival Venezia.
• Chief Engineer Rosario Capilli: Joining in 1990, this Italian brings engineering expertise honed on 13 ships, including the Carnival Horizon and Carnival Vista.
• Hotel Director Renil Kuruvilla: Hailing from India, his 30 years of hospitality experience encompass hotels and cruise lines. He’s worked on 14 Carnival ships like the Carnival Venezia and Carnival Pride.

Entertainment Duo Adds Fun:

• Entertainment Director Gordon Travis: A Scotsman with over 25 years of experience, including 10 in the cruise industry. He recently managed entertainment on the Carnival Venezia, bringing his expertise to Carnival Firenze.
• Cruise Director Joey Boyes: An Englishman known for his humor and wit, he joined Carnival in 2017. He’s performed stand-up comedy and served as cruise director on Carnival Horizon and Venezia.

Carnival Firenze Set to Sail:

Currently undergoing renovations, Carnival Firenze will offer Mexican Riviera cruises year-round from Long Beach, California. Combining Italian charm with Carnival’s signature fun, this ship promises a unique experience for West Coast cruisers.
