Arriving off a short Mediterranean season just after leaving the shipyard, new Carnival Horizon is now in New York City.  Carnival Horizon is the second Vista-class ship in the 26-ship fleet of Carnival Funships with more on the way. We will be on board for Wednesday’s official naming ceremony and pierside overnight event while the vessel is docked at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal’s Pier 88.  Today, we review information gathered on a previous sailing of the ship highlighting Carnival Horizon features New York City will like.

Carnival Horizon features the first-ever Dr. Seuss WaterWorks park, the Smokehouse Brewhouse BBQ restaurant & Brewhouse with favorites created by Food Network star Guy Fieri and craft beers from Carnival’s onboard brewmaster Colin Presby, an IMAX Theatre, new ship-within-a-ship Havana Cabana, Cloud 9 Spa and Family Harbor sections and the active lifestyle SkyRide bike-ride-in-the-sky attraction.  But if you’re a regular reader here, you already knew that because we took you along for the journey on a Carnival Horizon Mediterranean sailing not long ago.
