Katie McAlister has been appointed as the new president of Cunard, a Southampton-based cruise line, starting in August. She is currently the chief marketing officer for TUI UK & Ireland, where she has worked for 20 years. McAlister’s commercial and operational experience, as well as her expertise in digital transformation and strategic oversight, will be valuable to Cunard as it expands its brand and growth opportunities.

Carnival UK President Sture Myrmell expressed his pleasure in having someone of McAlister’s caliber join the company at this crucial time. McAlister is excited about the opportunity to join an iconic travel company and expand its guest base while maintaining its luxury and signature touches.

Throughout her career at TUI, McAlister has held various positions, including overseas delivery, commercial, digital, and marketing. Most recently, she has been responsible for sales channels and marketing in the UK & Ireland for TUI, First Choice, and Marella Cruises, as well as having global responsibility for the TUI brand and digital marketing.
