Cunard Partners With Pop Art Icon
Cunard has partnered with pop art phenomenon Mr. Brainwash to create a new mural on board Queen Elizabeth. The mural is an intricate patchwork of iconic Cunard marketing posters from the 1920s, with Mr. Brainwash adding his own signature graffiti style. The mural was unveiled in Los Angeles yesterday, August 22, in an event attended by guests and VIPs. Three limited-edition prints of the mural have also been created and will be exclusively available to guests.
The collaboration is part of Cunard’s ongoing commitment to promoting artistic excellence at sea. Mr. Brainwash is a Los Angeles-based artist whose work is held in public and private collections around the world. He is known for his Pop Art style, which often features appropriated images and text. The mural on the Queen Elizabeth is his first-ever mural on a cruise ship.
