Delta, Partner Airline, Add South America Lift
Delta Airlines along with LATAM which I just flew in Peru and Ecuador are expanding their joint venture by adding four new routes between North and South America. LATAM Airlines Colombia will launch a daily service between Miami and Medellin, Colombia, on October 29, 2023. LATAM Airlines Peru will also start a three-times weekly service between Lima and Atlanta on the same day. Delta will offer a three-times weekly service between Atlanta and Cartagena, Colombia, beginning December 22, 2023. Finally, Delta will add a second daily flight between Atlanta and Bogota, Colombia, on October 29, 2023.
The new routes will provide travelers with more options for connecting between North and South America. They will also help to boost tourism in the cities that are served. The new routes will be available for booking beginning June 17, 2023.
Here are some additional details about the new routes:
- The Miami-Medellin route will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft offering Premium Economy and Economy cabins.
- The Lima-Atlanta route will be operated with Boeing 767 aircraft offering Premium Business and Economy cabins.
- The Atlanta-Cartagena route will be operated with Boeing 737 aircraft offering First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin service.
- The Atlanta-Bogota route will be operated with Boeing 757 aircraft offering First Class, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin service.
