Over 90 high school students explored the diverse maritime industry at Port Everglades during National Maritime Month. They engaged with professionals from Disney Cruise Line, Port Everglades Terminal LLC, Mediterranean Shipping Company, and the International Longshoremen’s Association, learning about various career paths both on land and at sea.

The students toured the Disney Magic cruise ship and the MSC cargo operations, gaining insights into the industry’s impact on local and global economies. This event marked the first partnership between Disney Cruise Line and Junior Achievement of South Florida’s maritime Pre-Apprenticeship program, demonstrating a commitment to fostering the next generation of maritime professionals.
