Finnair Expands UK Reach with BA Codeshare

Exciting news for UK travelers! Finnair, the renowned Finnish airline, is further strengthening its ties with British Airways, a fellow oneworld alliance member. This expanded codeshare agreement opens up even more travel possibilities across the UK.

Now, Finnair customers can enjoy seamless connections to a wider range of destinations within the UK. The airline will now add its code to seven popular British Airways routes, including flights between London Heathrow and Aberdeen, Belfast City, Gibraltar, Inverness, Jersey, Manchester, and Newcastle.

This means travelers can conveniently book their entire journey with Finnair, flying from their preferred regional airport with British Airways and then connecting seamlessly to Finnair flights at Heathrow Airport.

From Helsinki, explore the wonders of Lapland, the stunning landscapes of the Nordics and Baltics, or embark on exciting adventures in the Far East, including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Singapore, and Seoul.

“We’ve seen a significant increase in demand for our flights from across the UK, including the Channel Islands and Gibraltar,” says Anssi Partanen, Finnair Market Director Europe. “This expanded codeshare with British Airways ensures our customers can enjoy seamless and convenient travel experiences from all corners of the country.”

This exciting news follows Finnair’s recent expansion of its UK flight schedule, with a 50% increase in services between London Heathrow and Helsinki. Travelers can now enjoy six daily flights from Heathrow, double daily flights from Manchester, and up to seven weekly flights from Edinburgh to the Finnish capital.”
