Asaad Badree bin Hj Abu Bakar, also known as Bard, hails from Kuala Belait, Brunei, and holds the distinction of being the first Bruneian crew member to work for the Royal Caribbean Group.

Currently, Bard serves as the Digital Manager on the Celebrity Silhouette, a Solstice-class cruise ship voyaging from England to Norway, Denmark, Estonia, and Sweden. In 2022, he also held the position of Digital Manager on the Celebrity Summit. As the Digital Manager, Bard oversees all digital experience products onboard, collaborating with various teams to support digital operations and ensure a seamless experience for guests.

In his role, Bard acts as the main point of contact onboard the ship, bridging communication between Excalibur and shipboard leaders to ensure digital products meet brand standards on all platforms. He coordinates training and awareness efforts for app and crew feature releases, as well as the implementation of operational processes to support these releases and manage changes. Remarkably, Bard remains the only Bruneian crew member in the entire fleet as of today.
