Florida Boasts Most Ever Visitors

Florida’s tourism industry is booming! The state welcomed a record-breaking 40.6 million visitors in the first quarter of 2024, surpassing any previous quarter. This strong performance follows a record-breaking year in 2023, with over 140 million visitors, up from 2022.

The Disney Wish will sail its inaugural season of three- and four-night cruises to Nassau, Bahamas, and Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay, from its new home port of Port Canaveral, Florida.

Domestic travelers were the majority, with 129.1 million visiting in 2023. International tourism is also recovering well, with 3.2 million Canadians and 8.3 million visitors from other countries in 2023.

Both Governor Ron DeSantis and Dana Young, CEO of Visit Florida, praised the success of the state’s tourism industry. They credit Florida’s welcoming atmosphere and ongoing efforts to attract visitors for the record numbers.
