Glühwein Is Back For (German) Fans Of World Cup Madness
The last time we visited Glühwein, it was with Viking River Cruises on an enchanting Christmas Markets sailing last December. Now, Glühwein is back as a popular choice of fans cheering on Germany in the World Cup Final.
Traveling from town to town on Viking Skadi, each had their own unique Christmas Market and in every one we found Glühwein, the hot spiced and potent holiday beverage; a signature item of Christmas markets. Served in souvenir mugs that can be refilled at a discount, each is customized for the market where they are sold.
Better yet, Viking showed us how to make it at home before our sailing came to an end.
Now, Ketel One Vodka has a chilled, summer version of the popular holiday beverage, just right for fans of Germany:
Ketel One Glühwein
