Our first stop on Holland America Line’s Dancing With The Stars: At Sea Champion’s Cruise was Half Moon Cay, one of about 700 islands that make up the Bahamas.  Going ashore, passengers off of Holland America’s Nieuw Amsterdam enjoyed a variety of watersports including swimming, sunning, scuba diving, snorkeling, glass-bottom boat rides and nature walks.

Tendering back and forth to the ship, passengers got a close up view of the ship not otherwise afforded in other locations and cooperating weather made for a fun day at the beach.  Private cabana rentals proved popular as did a barbecue lunch, waiter service right to the water’s edge where many walked along the beach, just enjoying the day, as we see in this photo gallery.
