Imagine being greeted at your new home by the Statue of Liberty. That was the sight for many immigrants on Holland America Line ships at the turn of the century.

Now, you can put yourself in their shoes at a new exhibit open at Ellis Island. Holland America Line partnered with The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation to celebrate the cruise line’s 150-year journey from immigrant carrier to consumer ocean liner fleet.

The exhibit details the brand’s historical prominence in bringing one in 10 immigrants from Europe to the United States. The Holland America Line exhibit brings these immigration stories to life, displaying passenger manifests, historical photos, past ship information, classic Holland America Line posters, and Dutch-themed memorabilia.

This exhibit is open through early May 2023, so you have plenty of time to get a front-row seat to our company’s history and its role in making the United States the melting pot it is today.
