Holland America Introduces National Geographic Day Tours
Holland America Line has partnered with National Geographic to offer new shore excursions in the Mediterranean. These tours are designed to provide guests with immersive and sustainable experiences that connect them with the places they visit.
The four new tours include:
- A Day in the Life of a Marine Biologist in Naples, Italy. This tour takes guests to the oldest aquarium in Europe and the world’s first marine biodiversity research laboratory. Guests will learn about marine conservation projects and have the opportunity to help with research.
- Meet the Locals in Santorini in Greece. This tour takes guests to the homes of two Santorini families. Guests will learn about life on the island and sample traditional foods.
- Influential Women in Turkey: From Past to Present in Kusadasi, Turkey. This tour explores the history of powerful women in Turkey. Guests will visit the Temple of Artemis and the House of the Virgin Mary, and they will also enjoy a culinary experience with a local chef.
- The Fascinating World of Bees in Rhodes, Greece. This tour takes guests to the Bee Museum of Rhodes. Guests will learn about the importance of bees and have the opportunity to try their hand at honey extraction.
The new National Geographic Day Tours are available on select sailings in the Mediterranean. Guests can book tours online or through a travel advisor.
