ICYMI: Viking Highlighted Egypt Offerings
In case you missed it in August, Viking.TV continued to highlight new ways of exploring the world iin comfort on a Viking cruise including new ships, destinations and itineraries.
Themed to destinations Viking travels, sessions in August featured Norway, Antarctica, and the Mediterranean. This week, Viking.TV features Egypt to celebrate the official naming of company’s newest river ship, Viking Osiris, purpose-built for the Nile River and sailing the popular itinerary, Pharaohs & Pyramids.
Viking.TV Highlights from August 2022:
- Mondays– Viewers discovered how Viking continues to grow its opportunities for exploration on Mondays. Sessions featured an exclusive tour of Viking’s expedition ship, Viking Octantis(August 8), experiences Viking guests can enjoy in Antarctica (August 15), and more. This week, viewers are treated to an exclusive look at Highclere Castle’s Egyptian Exhibition with new Viking Osiris godfather, Lord Carnarvon (August 29).
- Tuesdays– On Resident Historian Tuesdays this past month, viewers watched informative lectures such as “Vikings on the Move” (August 2), “The History of Chile” (August 9), “The Ottoman Empire” (August 21), and this week’s “The Egyptian Genesis” lecture (August 30).
- Wednesdays– Recent Wanderlust Wednesdays have explored new itineraries including exclusive looks at Iceland & Norway’s Arctic Explorer (August 3), the highly-anticipated Longitudinal World Cruise I (August 10) from Buenos Aires to Milwaukee, Antarctic Explorer(August 17), and Greek Odyssey (August 24). This week, viewers will get a special look into the popular Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary (August 31).
- Thursdays– Throughout August, Anne Diamond spoke with esteemed guests including culinary archaeologist Daniel Sara (August 4), glaciologist Julian Dowdeswell (August 11), polar expert Nick Cox (August 18), and dietician and author Dr. Simon Poole, who spoke about the Mediterranean diet (August 24). This week, Anne will interview Ghislaine Wood, Deputy Director of the Sainsbury Centre (Sept. 1).
- Fridays– Viewers toured Buenos Aries with a local guide (August 12), relived an Antarctic expedition with explorer and Viking Octantis godmother Liv Arnesen (August 19), took a virtual visit to Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation in Greece (August 26), and this week will join Karine in discovering the origins of the Suez Canal (Sept. 2).
- Saturdays– Enjoy new gentle yoga sessions with Mona Therese
- Sundays– Before each week begins, take a moment for meditation with Mona Therese
