Longer Cruises Prove Popular With Travelers
Traditionally, Alaska cruises have been seven days long. However, in recent years, cruise lines have been offering longer itineraries, some of them up to 28 days. This trend is being driven by demand from travelers who want to experience more of Alaska’s natural beauty and wildlife.
Here are some of the longest Alaska cruises offered in 2024 and 2025:
- Holland America Line‘s 28-day “Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice” cruise, which sails from Seattle to Anchorage and back, stopping at 12 ports along the way
- Princess Cruises‘ 22-day “Ultimate Alaska Solstice with Glacier Bay National Park” cruise, which sails from San Francisco to Vancouver, stopping at Glacier Bay National Park and other popular Alaska destinations.
- Norwegian Cruise Line’s 18-day “Alaska & Japan: Hubbard Glacier, Skagway and Juneau” cruise, which sails from Vancouver to Tokyo, stopping at Hubbard Glacier and other Alaskan ports.
These are just a few examples of the many long Alaska cruises available in 2024 and 2025. If you’re looking for a more extended Alaska vacation, be sure to check out the offerings from your favorite cruise line.
