Luxury US Stays Without the Price Tag
A new study reveals that Florida is the state with the third-lowest-cost luxury rental properties for a weekly getaway.
The study, conducted by luxury villa rentals SopranoVillas, gathered data from Airbnb.com specifically targeting Airbnb Luxe properties – a category that filters for luxury homes – to evaluate the cost of superior quality accommodations for any week of 2025 on a flexible basis. Researchers collated all luxury property listings and calculated the median price per night to reveal the top 10 states offering the most cost-effective luxury options.

North Carolina leads the ranking with a median nightly price of $1,369.98 for luxury rentals. The state’s maximum price per night is the lowest on the list, with the most expensive property priced at $4,246.68.
Arizona comes in second with a median price of $1,432.55 per night. Despite having the fewest luxury properties in the top five, with just 18 listings, Arizona offers a variety of upscale stays, with nightly rates starting at $775.29.
Florida ranks third, with luxury rentals averaging $1,678.94 per night. The state stands out for the affordability of its luxe properties, with prices starting at only $388.29 per night. It also has the second-highest number of luxury properties listed, totaling 130.
Tennessee, in fourth place, offers a median price of $1,744.08 per night for luxury rentals for a total of 19 luxe properties, while South Carolina rounds out the top five, presenting a median price of $1,895.01 per night for luxury stays and 52 properties.
California, Texas, Wyoming, Utah, and Massachusetts occupy positions six to 10, with median prices per night ranging from $2,378.76 to $2,661.27.
Moreover, California registers the highest maximum price per night at $25,930.29, but provides the highest number of luxe property options, at 209.
