New River Itinerary To Span Entire Mississippi
When American Cruise Lines‘ American Eagle enters service this spring, the new paddle wheeler will feature an itinerary that covers the entire Mississippi river. The only itinerary of its kind and length on the river, it takes cruise travelers from New Orleans to St Paul for a complete Mississippi river experience. The idea for creating this unique itinerary came from American Cruise Lines’ passenger requests.
“It’s been evident that our guests enjoy cruising more than one portion of the Mississippi River at a time, often purchasing back-to-back,” said Timothy Beebe, Vice President, American Cruise Lines. “With this new offering, we provide a unique opportunity to travel the entire leg of the Mississippi River and experience the complete history of the western frontier.”
Titled the Complete Mississippi River Experience, the new river itinerary will immerse American Cruise Lines’ passengers in history and culture as they make their way along the entire Mississippi river, taking 22 days to do it. On board, guests enjoy views of a diverse landscape, while enjoying American Eagle’s distinct amenities, including the most spacious staterooms on the River and private balconies with sliding glass doors.
They’ll also experience American Cruise Lines’ unique open-seating dining plan, which allows guests to enjoy meals in a single seating and at the time of their choice, while surrounded by panoramic views of the river. For the duration of the cruise, an all-American crew caters to passengers’ every need, while daily educational events and themed entertainment help paint a picture of what life on the Mississippi was like in days gone by.
The Complete Mississippi River cruise departs on August 8, 2015 aboard the American Eagle.
