No Joke: NCL Suggested Gratuities Increase April 1
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is raising the amount of their suggested idaily service charges. Effective April 1, 2018. NCL suggested gratuities increase, a little bit. Not much. AKA ‘suggested daily service charges’, the program aims to make it easy for guests to provide gratuities to the onboard staff.

NCL Suggested Gratuities Increase
The Details
New NCL suggested gratuities rates are as follows:
Sky and Sun all-inclusive Suites go up $1 from $21.99 to $22.99
Sky and Sun all-inclusive, also a $1 per person, per day increase from $18.99 to $19.99
Remainder of Fleet, Suites and The Haven go from from $16.99 to $17.50
Remainder of Fleet, any other category will see increase from $13.99 to $14.50
Any guest that has made a booking by March 31, 2018 will have the option of prepaying their service charges at the current rate if done prior to sail date. Guests with existing cruise reservations who have already prepaid their service charges at the current rate are not affected.
