Norwegian’s New Tenders Hit the Water
Incat Crowther, a leading digital shipbuilder, has designed three new 25-meter cruise tenders for Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) operating in the Caribbean. These tenders are stationed at NCL’s base in the Bahamas and are designed to transport 354 passengers comfortably and safely from NCL’s cruise ships to their private island resort.
The vessels prioritize accessibility, with two wheelchair-accessible spaces and three toilets on the main deck, one of which is wheelchair accessible. They also include a wheelchair lift for access to the upper deck. The upper deck can seat 188 people and offers covered outdoor seating, while the air-conditioned main deck accommodates 164 passengers.
To facilitate efficient disembarkation and boarding, the vessels feature bespoke main deck bow ramps that connect with the existing tender docks at NCL’s Great Stirrup Cay resort. There are also two access points on the upper deck for boarding and disembarking. The vessels incorporate Incat Crowther’s catamaran design expertise, including deep hulls for enhanced comfort.
