One of the most popular ships sailing from Florida’s Port Canaveral recently went through a 24-day dry dock renovation, adding more staterooms, dining options and a bow to stern revitalization of the entire ship.

154-ton Freedom of the Seas is the largest ship sailing year-round from Port Canaveral and consistently ranks as one of the most passenger-friendly fleets in the Royal Caribbean fleet.  Not that the others rank poorly, this one just ranks quite high, and for good reason.  Readers who have sailed the 3,634-passenger ship nearly unanimously come back raving about the layout, design and ease of getting around Freedom of the Seas.  That they have nice things to say about the crew as well is a nice bonus.

First-timers or returning fans of the ship will find all the popular attractions including a FlowRider surf simulator, as well as the rock climbing wall,  full-sized basketball court, nine-hole mini-golf course, 42-feet high rock-climbing wall, the H2O Zone kids aquapark, and an oversized LED movie screen overlooking the family pool.

New Panoramic Ocean View staterooms located atop the front of the ship and feature a floor-to-ceiling and wall-to-wall window to offer guests expansive, unobstructed vistas of ports and sea.
