Virgin Hotels New York City celebrated its official opening on Tuesday, April 4, 2023. The day kicked off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a performance by Colton Ryan, the lead from the new Broadway hit musical New York, New York. The evening continued with a grand opening event that included a Chinese Lion Dance, tarot card readers, live painters, stilt walkers, jugglers, and performers in larger-than-life-sized martini glasses. Guests were also treated to a surprise, exclusive preview performance from the newest Virgin Voyages show, followed by a series of epic DJ sets.

The event was attended by a number of celebrities, including fashion designers LaQuan Smith, Carly Cushnie, Natalie De’Banco, DJ Shaun Ross, Actress Ana Villafañe, Bravo stars Dorinda Medley, Lindsay Hubbard, Carl Radke, Andrea Denver, Chris Leoni, and more.

Virgin Hotels New York City is the brand’s first hotel in New York City. It is located in the NoMad neighborhood and features 250 rooms and suites, as well as a number of restaurants, bars, and event spaces.
