Cunard has chosen Liverpool, its birthplace and former headquarters, as the godparent of its new ship Queen Anne, honoring their 184-year bond. Cunard’s Queen Anne will be officially named in Liverpool, its spiritual home, in a grand ceremony attended by tens of thousands.

Scheduled Highlights Of The Event:

• Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra will open the ceremony.
• Matt and Emma Willis will host the event.
• Five distinguished Liverpool icons will represent the city and officially name Queen Anne.
• Cunard President, Katie McAlister, and Captain Inger Klein Thorhauge will participate.
• The traditional smashing of a champagne bottle will take place.
