Talk About WOW: Air To Euro Cruise Embarkation Ports From $149
The world of cruise travel continues to expand, offering more choices to more places around the world than ever before. Once thought to be a lazy mans way of travel, even hearty adventure travelers are coming along on cruises if for no other reason than their efficient way to see multiple destinations. Still, some places are not served as well as others by cruise ships making travel there come via rail, land or air. Iceland is one of those places. Although more cruise lines are visiting there than in the past, itineraries give visitors a day or two at best. Now, there is another choice as WOW air adds flights from Miami.
WOW air is Iceland’s low-cost transatlantic airline and will begin service from Miami International Airport (MIA) to Iceland and Europe starting April 2017. Nice to know. Better to know: that trip can come for as little as $99 one-way. This is the airline’s sixth US destination since its North American launch at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in May 2015.
“Not only does this launch give our Southeast American travelers an affordable opportunity to travel abroad, it gives our European travelers access to the beautiful tropical beaches and active nightlife of this great city.” -Skúli Mogensen,CEO and Founder of WOW air
Service from Miami to Iceland will be available three days per week. That’s good news for another reason as well. The move by WOW air to Miami also brings low cost flights to WOW’s major European destinations including: London (LGW), Paris (CDG), Amsterdam (AMS), Berlin (SXF), Frankfurt (FRA), Dublin (DUB) and Copenhagen (CPH), all major cruise embarkation ports
Flights from Miami to Iceland as low as $99* one way (including taxes) is good news.
Flights from Miami to Paris, Frankfurt, London, Copenhagen, Dublin, Berlin, Stockholm and Amsterdam for as low as $149** one way (also including taxes) is even better.
We really like the “including taxes” part of this deal, something most airlines and cruise lines simply don’t do when advertising pricing. Miami airport officials like the addition of WOW air too, for different reasons
“Aside from being MIA’s first-ever service to Iceland, WOW’s launch into the Miami market will also mark our fourth Nordic country and 23rd route to Europe – the most in the 88-year history of our airport,” said Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio T. González, noting the addition of WOW air as a good addition to the airport’s strategic plan to expand MIA’s route network to points across the globe.
