Travelers Can Craft Their Own “Miracle Heart” at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit

The AAA Five-Diamond Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit introduces a new workshop for guests to commemorate their stay with a traditional Mexican craft. The “Corazón de Milagritos” (miracle hearts) workshop invites guests to embark on a cultural journey to learn about the Mexican symbolism of this traditional handicraft in a private and intentional setting amidst the Banderas Bay.

Corazón de Milagritos are small heart ornaments or wearable amulets, often made with metal or wooden materials. They represent wishes, dreams, and hopes. Each heart is handmade by carving wood or metal into heart shapes and then painted the desired color. These special hearts are deeply connected to the practice of miracles or milagros in Mexican culture. Traditionally, people offer their corazón de milagritos in hopes of receiving a miracle or divine intervention for health, safety, love, prosperity, or other personal needs. Each milagritos’ design represents a specific wish or prayer.

At Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, this new workshop invites couples, family, or friends to create their own miracle heart. The intimate setting allows guests to dedicate a special intention to their creation and take home a wearable memento of their magical stay. During the workshop, a knowledgeable artist will guide guests through the history and meaning of milagritos, providing a brass heart and an array of paints to choose from. This workshop adds to the extensive list of cultural offerings for both adults and children at the all-inclusive resort, immersing guests in Mexican culture and tradition.

The corazón de milagritos workshop requires a $15 USD fee per guest. The cost, which covers all the aforementioned inclusions, directly supports the local community. For more information or to book a stay at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit, please visit https://vallarta.grandvelas.com.
