Viking Announces 10 New River Ships, Expanding Award-Winning Fleet

Viking®, the world’s leading river cruise line, announced the upcoming addition of 10 new Viking Longships® to its fleet by the end of 2026! This exciting expansion marks a significant milestone for the company and reflects the growing demand for Viking’s exceptional river voyages.

The new vessels will be built at the renowned Neptun Werft shipyard in Rostock, Germany, where all Viking Longships have been crafted since their debut in 2012. This partnership ensures the highest standards of quality and innovation, continuing the legacy of Viking’s award-winning fleet.

Five of the new Longships will be delivered in 2025, with the remaining five arriving in 2026.
These beautiful vessels will sail popular itineraries on the Rhine, Main, Danube, and Seine rivers, offering even more opportunities for guests to experience the magic of Europe’s waterways.
