What Do You Give The Cruise Ship That Has Everything?
Oasis of the Seas is one of the two largest cruise ships in the world. As big as she may be, no space is left unused and Royal Caribbean International has jam packed public areas with activity, wellness, dining and entertainment areas. Debuting in 2009 with an at-sea version of Broadway’s Hairspray, it’s time for a change. That brings the Tony Award-winning Broadway production of CATS to the high seas.
Joining Oasis of the Seas after drydock refurbishment in the fall of this year, CATS was one of the longest running productions on Broadway and is the winner of numerous awards including seven Tonys, two Oliviers and a Grammy. The show has been seen in over 20 countries and translated into more than 10 languages.
But CATS will be just one possible experience on board a ship built to be everything to everyone. Throughout its seven themed neighborhoods 225,282 Oasis of the Seas (and sister-ship Allure of the Seas) have some amazing features that make these ships a must-sail option for fans of cruise travel, at least once.
Those amazing features include an 82 foot-long zip line, a handcrafted carousel, the Rising Tide elevating bar, the Aquatheater high-diving performance venue, and Central Park with more than 12,000 live trees and plants. Oasis of the Seas also offers amenities that can only be found on Royal Caribbean, such as twin FlowRider surf simulators, cantilevered whirlpools, an ice-skating rink, the H20 Zone kids aquapark, and the Royal Promenade, an interior boulevard that stretches nearly the length of the ship and flanked by restaurants, lounges and boutiques, among many others.
What do you give the ship that has everything? Cats, of course.
