In 2022, Windstar Cruises partnered with Coral Gardeners, an organization dedicated to saving coral reefs. To date, Windstar and its guests have adopted over 2,400 corals through this partnership. Windstar Cruises has expanded the program to allow guests sailing in any destination to adopt a coral.

Beginning in 2024, Windstar will offer a shore-excursion taking guests to the Coral Gardeners facility. Windstar has also launched an engagement speaker series on board its ships calling in Moorea to raise awareness about coral reef preservation.
